Bet you thought this was a tip on feed? Nope. It’s actually a saddling tip. When placing a saddle pad on your horse, always set the pad closer to the horse’s head and slide it back into place. This keeps the hair on your horse’s back laying flat. If you slide the pad forward, it’s going against the natural way the coat lays and is uncomfortable for your horse.
Working with horses is time intensive with much of the work being done without a lot of help. Check out Top Ten Timesavers in this month's Stable Management (the link will open in a new window)!
