ok finally got an answer from the msu vets, facial paralysis on chances left side of face, due to having laid on his halter during surgery, pinching a facial nerve, is suppose to be tempory, his tongue was also affected. and has shone signs of improvement.so the only treatment is message and heat to effected nerves. three times a day. this can also happen from facial injuries caused from halters or lacerations. i did a video of him chewing, sent to the vet and forwarded it to msu, on the lighter side glad i didnt say thing stupid on the vid , because i usually do lol this can still take some time to heal , so at least there is some hope.

Good Morning Old Pharts. Had a very p;easent and interesting visit with three young Men. Who are riding from New Mexico to the Canadian border. They spent the night at our place and of course we fed them. Never saw hamburgers disappear so fast. So far they have covered 1300 miles and figure they have another 600 to go. They have spent most of thier time along or close to the continentel divide trail. Man I am jealous. told them I wish I would have done something like that when I was younger.
Anyway if you run in to Parker Ben and Mike say howdy from us
Have a great and wonderful day D

well this post brings some not so good news, COUGARS, we talked about the cougar issue in Mi, they say we dont have them, well guess what, I HAVE THREE injured horses, one was attacked and clawed the other two run through a fence, i had sent 3 horses out to the big farm to pasture, thought it would be nice for them to graze for awhile, save some money on feed, vet bills now.chance was severly cut cross his back legs at the knees. the one will take at least 6 mos to heel. and we cant legally shoot it, there have been other reported atacks recently same issues horses and cattle being ripped up. so how can something that doest breed and live in michigan be protected???? you tell me, guess i will go to jail cause, i will kill it. we have lost several foals as well. not realizing what got them at first. they are not native to michigan so where did they all come from??
