Status & Friends

We know you're finding your way around U Rock 'n Ride, but we thought it might be helpful to give a quick "how to" on two of our favorite features -- Status and Friends! Check it out!

Status:
Let people know what you're feeling or what you're doing. It's as easy as:

1. Log in.
2. Click on "Edit my status" directly below your profile pic.
3. A white bar will appear where you can type in your status. Type something witty - or not. Whatever strikes your fancy.
4. Click on "Save my status" and you are updated. You can also update your status from your profile page (found under "the barn" in the top menu). Just type someting new in the box under "My Status" and hit save. That's all there is to it!

You've now posted your status, thought for the day, joke, musing, pearl of intelligence, you name it for all to see. Fun!

Friends:
It's pretty easy to friend someone that's already on the site.

1. From your profile, under "Friends" click on "Search."
2. Enter in the username of the person you're trying to friend and click on "Search."
3. When you see the member you wish to friend, click on "Add as friend."

Your proposed new friend will receive the request and approve (or not) the invitation.

You can also invite new friends to the site that haven't yet discovered U Rock 'n Ride. Here's how it works:

1. Go to your Profile.
2. Mouse over the Friends tab.
3. Click on "Invite Friends".
4. A window will open that allows you to email as many people as you like with one message. Simply separate the emails with a comma and write one message inviting them to check us out.
5. Click on "Send Invite" and you've done it! So start spreading the word if you haven't already.

A Parting Thought:
