Ok so right now I'm just tired of the snow, tired of the cold, and just plain tired. My coffee just doesn't seem to be kicking in and I have no motivation to go outside today. I don't even have the motivation to keep typing.... lol.
Here's motivation...picture this....it's 74 degrees outside and sunny...the wind has a faint smell of horses and spring in the air...your sitting on the back of your pick up truck putting on your spurs, sipping your yummy coffee, while a very handsome cowboy saddles up your horse....your horse is calm and is ready to ride...your hard work has payed off. You see all kinds of wildlife on the ride.. and gallop with the wind. You stop and wonder how many people in the world never have the opportunity to feel so free..then you come back to reality as the client hands the reins over to you and says, "be careful this one bucks".
Here. Watch this, and see if it motivates you to be outside with your horses... If not, then, at least you'll have some nice music to go to sleep to. Hehe

The MN winters sre getting long but I relive our last trail ride over and over. Of course as a dad I have never been more proud of my son as he seem to be in charge and I was just there to help quide. This was an AQHA ride but it was shared with old and some new friends. Good food ridding horses than finishing up with good music.......not only a great ride but a memory that will be hard to top. This keeps me going when it is below -0 everyday!!!
I'm with you...I'm tired of the cold and the snow and the lumps of ice constantly underfoot. And we may ride indoors, but it's still really cold when tacking up (my fingers are too cold to warm the bit; I have to use warm water) and when riding before I get warmed up and afterward when my sweaty self goes back to the barn and I have to take care of the horse before I get into my chilly car to go back home. I asked my husband once, tell me again why I do this? And he said, because you love it. And I said, oh yeah!
