No, really, can it? The snow has been pretty and all but we've gone through a couple deicers (a certain mouthy gelding likes to play with them) and the whole frozen ground thing is old.
Can't wait. By the time spring is here my hand will be healed (good news on that front, don't need surgery!) And Winnie will be nice and plump. Very pleased with her progress.
My foal will be here as well come late summer! So excited. It was an accidental breeding. A friends kiger stud got out and mingled with her tb mare, theres no doubt there's a baby coming any day now! 47% chance it'll be a dun, but no matter the color I'm stoked. Because I had said repeatedly how I wanted a Tesoro baby, she offered me the foal. Can't wait. Here's hoping for mustang sturdiness and brains in TB elegance and grace! Should be a heck of a lot of fun no matter which way the traits come out.
Roslyn continues to be obsessed with horses. Its a chore keeping her away from them and from trying to climb onto their backs. I see an avid trail rider in the making!
Other than that, nothing really to report!
Working with horses is time intensive with much of the work being done without a lot of help. Check out
