Update on our 2 rescue horses Haun & PearlPosted by MacenBuc in Untagged |
Hello my URnR friends.
I tought it time to give an update on our 2 rescue horses and where they stand right now.
As most know,we adopted our first rescue in July of 2009,and our second Sept of 2009 from the same lady.A beautiful 15yo Palomino gelding named Haun and 3yo Creamelo Missouri Fox Trotter mare named Pearl.
We adopted them in Missouri and transported them to Nebraska in hopes we could find a place closer to out family in Iowa & Illinois.Or perhaps even Nebraska.
It has been a long stressful journey for everyone envolved including our horses.
Not only have we spent most of our time looking for a home for us but,we have been searching for a reputable hauler to have our buddies transported into Pennsylvania.
Getting all the paperwork needed for these professional haulers, vaccines etc.
And most importantly gathering the money to get them here.
I have to say this.As we all know how God works in mysterious ways..For mths we were trying to figure out how we could gather/save the money needed and been at a lose at times. It wasnt till our son-in-law came up the other day and started talking about ATV's and how one of his buddies was looking for one...Thats when it hit me!..We can sell our 2 ATV's and have the money to get our horses in finially. So that part is is the planning stages now.
The ATV's are 2004 models,Honda Formans 4x4 workhorses with only 1,200 miles on each one. They are both the same except one is red the other green.Been inside when not in use and in great shape!. We are asking $3,500 each and if both are taken by the same person it will be $3,000 each and all the goodies come with them such as helmet, bags, pouches, saddle bags, tire kits etc.I will post a picture of them in the folder I just made titled Haun & Pearl in Nebraska if anyone close is interested. We have a few lookers but its first come first serve.
Me being stuck somewhere between medapause, heck and medapause is taking a toll on everyone here.
They say when God closes a door,he opens a window and when I saw that window open,I believe I jumped to high and it my head,lol..So when another window opened,I took my time and hopped out and it was then selling the ATV's came to mind and they were under our noses all this time we were bangen heads.I pray to be more patient and not to get out of sorts but the excitment of finially finding the gift God gave us in how to get the money together was right under our nose all this time.I unfortunatly was looking everywhere else.Lesson learned here.
Loveing horses as much as I do,I tend to get over excited if I own them and cant go out everyday to feed and greet them with a smile and hug.Very frustrating at times. But after 7 mths we may have them both here with us by April/May.God willing.
They will be going to a boarding facility until we find a ome for us and the horses. The boarding place also teaches Theaputic riding and that woeks out awsome for Mandi too.It is only 10 miles away from us and will be going over next week to snap a few pics of her place.
We will not be telling Mandi the horses will be comen in because I want it to be a surprise.
She misses her Haun so much and does not like talken about him because she gets upset. So she will be very happy!!!
ok,thats it so far.
I have contacted 2 professional haulers so far.One being "Equine Interstate Transport,Inc" and "C&E Horse Transportation,Inc" so far.Awaiting new quotes from them both.
If anyone has heard of another horse transport company and had good results please let me know.I'm so far getting quotes of approxamitly $1,200 to bring them both in as thse two haulers run up and down the east coast almost everyday and into parts of the mid west.
Its 1,100 miles from Nebraska to here in Pennsylvania.
Thank you for taking the time to read the updates and may the good Lord Bless eveeryone of you!

Does someone out there have what we are in need of.Posted by MacenBuc in Untagged |
H
Hello all you URNR folks.Above is a photo of our daughter Mandi and the horse we adopted for her.It was her choice to adopt him and once she met him for the first time,Mandi showed emotion I have never seen before. His name is Haun and is approx. 15 yo QH and a very gentle horse suitable for what Mandi needs.A therapy horse.Mandi has a mild case of Cerbral Palsy and has been around horses and riden them most of her life.
We live in a town and have them boarded in Nebraska at Rae's place until we find our own place. We are in desperate need of finding our own place to live so we can have our horses with us.Ed also adopted a horse and I will post his below.
We presantly live in PA and willing to re-locate.We will wait till the spring to move if we can find a place.
So here is what we are looking for.
A small home (2-3 bedrooms/1 & 1/2 baths, with barn and a few acres. There has too be enough room to put an arena up for Mandi to ride in.
We are looking to rent/lease to own/owner finiance. We have a steady income.
Perhaps someone has a home on acreage they want to rent,or someome to rent a home on their acreage to keep watch on that part of there large ranch?
We are honest people. We will be 100% honest and upfront with you if you do the same with us.We have nothing to hide and will tell you anything needed even proof of income.(proof of imcome only to serious parties)
We would like Nebraska where the horses ar being boarded because there is alot for Mandi to do there and she can join the Special Olympics with Haun.
There are a few "possibles" in Nebraska but we still must look incase those places dont pan out.

MacenBuc & Our great adventuresPosted by MacenBuc in Untagged |
Working with horses is time intensive with much of the work being done without a lot of help. Check out Top Ten Timesavers in this month's Stable Management (the link will open in a new window)!
